(1)中国、秦(Qin)の始皇帝(Shi Huangdi)が渭水(Wei Shui)(ｲｽｲ)の南岸、阿房に造営した大宮殿。
東西800メートル、南北150メートルで、一万人を収容できたという。前殿の土台は東西1,270メートル、南北426メートル、総面積は54万1,020平方メートル。
紀元前 212年から70万の罪人を使役して工事をすすめ、始皇帝の没後は二世皇帝胡亥(Huhai)(ｺｶﾞｲ)に受け継がれた。
完成しないまま紀元前 206年に楚(ｿ)の項羽(ｺｳｳ)によって焼き払われ、数ヶ月燃え続けたという。

(1)ミズナギドリ目アホウドリ科キタアホウドリ属(Phoe-bastria)の海鳥の一種。
繁殖期は10～５月で、営巣地の岩場で11月に産卵し、１月にヒナ(雛)が孵(ｶｴ)る。
その他の時期は、アリューシャン列島など北太平洋に渡る。
｢おきのたゆう(沖大夫)｣とも呼ぶ。
英語名は｢アルバトロス(albatross)｣。
